2021 Marshall Fire
Determined to be sparked by an Xcel Energy power line and from embers of a week-old trash fire at a nearby religious property, the Marshall fire burned over 6,000 acres, destroyed more than 1,000 buildings, and claimed the lives of two people.
Spencer Soicher and Sam Page were on the ground in Boulder County as the Marshall fire ravaged neighborhoods. The Marshall fire is now the most destructive wildfire in Colorado state history.
2022 ClubQ Mass Shooting.
November 19th 2022, Anderson Aldrich walked into a Colorado Springs gay bar and opened fire. Five people were murdered, and 25 others were injured, 19 of them by gunfire. Anderson plead guilty to five counts of first-degree murder and 46 counts of attempted first-degree murder.
