2023 International Pikes Peak Hill Climb
The deafening roar of an engine. A race car screaming towards the finish line. The squeal of overheating brakes, a racer’s celebratory finish. The Pikes Peak International Hill climb is the second oldest race in the country and one of the most dangerous. Racers set off, one at a time, up a 12.42 mile, essentially scenic toll road, finishing at 14,115 feet. Every second on the track is a high-stakes battle, which proves why the race has been around since 1916 and attracted some of the best drivers from around the world.
A day at the Ballpark
After working hard all school year - some Pueblo District 60 students earned themselves quite the treat. The reward for the hard work of students at Minnequa Elementary School was a day at a Rockies Game at Coors Field in Denver.
